I was camping near Brecon last week and on Sunday night we saw what appeared to be the Aurora Borealis. Now I pretty sure there was not a red alert for the UK so what else could it have been?

theres a MOD site not far from brecon where they make ‘special things’.. they have a test site there so it might have been them playing about again.

or it was aliens!

Forecasst for the Aurora was poor… even at the height of its extent it bearly touches the northern parts of Scotland.

Awesome if you did though .. don’t suppose anyone took pics ??

IIRC the Aurora Borealis has been seen from as far south as Northern Italy, so it is *possible*.

Whether its likely or not is a different matter entirely.

We see it now and again from Highland Perthshire.
