I’m trying to think of/invent phrases which describe a particular feeling…

‘[insert number here] pint euphoria’ – the exact point at which you slip into the delusional belief that everything is alright with the world.

‘Lone-golding’ – solo rides during which you clear everything perfectly, and there’s nobody around to see it.

‘Shirk ethic’ – concentrating very hard on something, when you should be doing something else (in my case, spec’ing a CX/rough stuff tourer build when I should be writing a research proposal).

Yes, and see also The meaning of Liff… but it doesn’t preclude new ones. 🙂

You’re out of date. Nowadays you don’t need to find an adjective to describe your state of mind, you just witter: “I was…. like… WOW! The world IS alright after all!”

Querosis – the slow, sinking realisation that you chose the wrong supermarket checkout.
