I keep reading about how deflation is a real possibility – well the government could avoid it altogether by just adding a few Shimano parts to their basket of goods. My XT freehub body just gave up – and they are now £30! Rings, cassette and chain run out at about £220. This makes my bike considerably more expensive to run than my Audi 2.7TDi, and Audi main dealer prices are legendarily outrageous. Is it just down to the devaluation of the pound, or is there some other reason?

ah, but if you’d ‘invested’ in Shimano parts last year you’d be making a killing now 😉 8)

I just think we are all a soft touch …. Ive started raiding my parts bin ( I never throw anything away .. just in case ) it has proved invaluable (especially through the winter)
