Off to a mates in a couple of weeks. Looking gor a 3-4 hour not massively technical ride within an hour of north Leeds.

Out around Hope & Edale today. Yorkshire has *surely* got something similar to offer?

    Stainburn

Just reread, if you are looking for a 3-4 hour loop, stainburn isn’t for you, But is good for messing about at for a few hours

Nidderdale ‘classic’ starting from Pateley Bridge or Ramsgill. Couple of nice fast descents, not techy, a fair bit of plugging along shooting track in between.

Barden Moor/Sharp Haw mix and match near Skipton, maybe, good if you add some cheek.

We don’t have the same kind of rocky tech (or long) descents that you have in the Dark Peak, though.

    Not Stainburn, it’s reasonably technical.

North Leeds, Bradford has lots of really good riding. Unfortunately a lot of it needs local knowledge though.

You could try Bingley Bash depending where you are

    Hamsterley if you drive fast.

Bingley Bash sounds favourite. Anyone got any .gpx’s? 🙂

Yeah tonnes of stuff in bingley, st Ives, baildon and beyond.
Stainburn can easily be added to, there’s plenty more out towards swinsty.
