- Decent 29er mud tyres?
Anyone recommend a good tyre to handle the really gloopy sticky horrible stuff around the Chilterns… and for a 29er?
If it’s 75% as good as IRC Mud Mads used to be, that’ll do. Currently running Conti Vapours and they’re not too bad, but even they started clogging badly yesterday.Posted 6 years agoStonerSubscriber
long time no see, shorty. Hope all’s well.
Ive been using a 29er stout on the front but the mud I get out this way (or in wales) is more loamy. Has the added bonus of hanging up on any root or rock like a sleeping chimp. But not sure how well it would shed chiltern clag.Posted 6 years agoMrTallMember
I’ve used the Beaver and MudX and prefer the Maxxis but they are slightly flimsy (due to the low weight i guess).
If weight isn’t an issue CRC are doing the Wire version for a lot less than the folding bead version.
I’m running Beaver rear and Spesh Purgatory front and finding it to be a very good combination.Posted 6 years ago
