Does anyone know of a route from Rawtenstall to Skipton that avoids the middle of Burnley and Colne?

There’s nothing on RideWithGPS (as in previous routes) and it’s plotting a route right through the middle of both. Having ridden in Burnley before it’s not an experience I’m keen to repeat…

As above, pick up the Leeds Liverpool as soon as you can and follow it all the way to Skipton.

Look at the PBW between Rossendale & Wycoller if you’re on something that can go gravel-ish, then connect through to Foulridge as above.

Actually needed to go Rawtenstall to Harrogate but fancied the scenic route out of Skipton. Gave up trying to circumvent Burnley on a road bike and re-planned via Todmorden – Hebden Bridge – Bingley – Otley.

Ended up a really nice ride home, though for some reason RideWithGPS took me through the middle of Guisley instead of the quick way around.
