Sudden last minute plan, we’re popping up norf for the weekend. I’m just wondering if anyone has ridden the red recently, how does it hold up in this sort of weather?

We’ve not been up there for a few years, but I’m hoping to do the whole 20 odd mile loop if it’s open.

Usually holds up pretty well although it’ll be a horrid sandy grinding paste if it’s wet. Worth checking the website / Facebook for closures, there may be trees down with the wind.

Rode some of the Red two weekends ago in melting snow. Very mucky but still great fun. There is some tree work going on so may be the odd closure. Check Facebook and FC websites as above. There’s hardpack under virtually everything so you always get some good riding there however wet & muddy. Dalby’s actually better drained than Gisburn and others.
    Enjoy

We did the red last Saturday in the rain and the fire tracks were a little sticky but overall it was great hardly any puddles really

Reckon I’ll be there Monday, but that’ll be a bit late for you.
