it ‘should’ have a shimano single freewheel.. possibly 18t? looks the specs up on dahon website?

if you you can replace with a 16 or 17t… 16t available in shimano..

if it is shimano freewheel you need Park Took FR6 and a spanner/socket to drive it.. or put tool in vice

probably quicker/cheaper to take to shop, buy the 16t freewheel from them and ask them to remove the old one.. don’t need tool to refit the new one

but simpsons cycle offer good mail order service and shoudl supply both or get from ebay

well it’s not the coaster hub version – so possibly is shimano freewheel?
definitely an 18t – so would be looking at 16t or lower due to cambridge flatness

for some reason – my work internet is blocking dahons site – so if someone can post the details that would be nice 🙂

you will not get a smaller than 16t for std freewheel

you could of course also/instead fit a bigger chairing (looks to be 130BCD? std road so you could fit 53, 54, 56 etc, but i would try a 16t first

freehweels at CRC – you can see the 4 prongs for the tool
