Is this open yet? Are there any maps or info available?

It’s just the footpath that’s being upgraded to a (concessionary) bridleway. They’ve been working on some surfacing at the north (A625) end where it can get very boggy, including some new gates. I’m not sure if they’re doing anything else to it, the track is already well-established. There’s a steep bit in the middle (about here: http://streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?X=425146&Y=376034&A=Y&Z=120) which I reckon will need to be by-passed to be made rideable for mortals.

Thanks, I did not want to ride it before is was officially allowed. Its great that new routes are being negotiated and I don’t want to do anything to undermine that process.

The last I read it was hopefully due for completion in April

The footpath actually goes around that steep bit, its the kink on the map SE of your arrow. It’s not quite as distinct as most people don’t notice it and just walk straight up the steep bit. You can easily ride up/down it.

It’s not open yet, keep an eye out on the ride sheffield facebook or website and we’ll do some shouting as soon as we get the go ahead.

Any news on the Longshaw concessions linking to it. Was first talked about happening last year but has gone very quiet.
