That lawn is so bad that I can’t even see the bike in the photo! 😡

    Lawn?

Got to figure out where I’m going to plant one or two of these bastards first…

    Over-boxed much?

    Brick colour

    Drive colour

..and that’s as much as I have to go on. So it;s anyone’s guess as to whether it’ll work. So far the engineering bricks blend into the edgings nicely, the rest I won’t know until it’s all too late.

I’m not trying to match the dark and mildly depressing house bricks – why on earth would I want to do that? I’m trying to brighten the place! 🙂

That house isn’t half as pink as the one near me, although they do seem to have started painting it as they now think that may be why they’ve had no offers after 4 years on the market.
    bit pink

Could be because the locals approach the junction opposite at 70mph.

Have you just produced the worlds first driveway only suitable for mobility scooters? What were you thinking man – off road parking opportunity missed and replaced with area for growing green stuff you’ll never look at but be required to tend to instead of having a life.

I do however covet your brick laying skills.

Hell no, this isn’t my work! Decided to get professionals in. This is just an house-renovation-update type thing, for those that remember.

And it’s perspective Convert, the area to the right is 4.85 deep.

Plus, birds and wildlife stuff can’t get worms out of tarmac. And I like a bit of foliage.

Quite right too…an ornamental tree might look nice. Maybe a Himalayan Birch ?

Your windows are giving me OCD. Well, the one on the top right is, anyway. Any chance you could sort that out?

Please paint your wall orange, it will clash nicely with the pink.

And then you won’t need to listen to people commenting on the pink house 🙂

Will you be painting the top pillar slab so it matches everything else?!

Well spotted enfht . Are the pillars even level!?
The large dollop of mortar under the right hand slab is ruining it all for me.

this might be a slight hijack but i was reading that you can get shade tolerant turf, ie a lawn in a north facing garden that doesnt instantly become a gloopy boggy mossy mess??

Does it work, is it any good, or is it bollocks?

Yes you can get shade tolerant grass, but it sounds like you need to sort drain as well. The grass itself is fine, just not as fine as the village bowling green. We are trying to leave ours longer this year to see if it covers better.
