This is starting to drive me slightly insane.

Cannot seem to stop my saddle creaking – keep tightening it, taking it to bits then cleaning the rails and even spraying GT85 onto the bolts and rails. Almost sorted it but heard it again last night.

It's a Spesh Phenom SL (carbon and Ti) on a Thomson Elite seatpost.

    Any suggestions gratefully received!

eat less you fat fat fatty 😉

    only kidding, you're awesome!

is it the saddle or could it be the seatpost creaking? i find it hard to tell where noises are coming from when i'm on the bike, always have to ask whoever's out riding with me to accurately pin-point noises

Rather than 9t85, put some grease on the rails

Had a creak on my mmmbop and found that the seat post wasn't long enough ended up getting 27.2 with shim now silent . BLISS 😀

+1 for grease on the rails and bolts

also try squirting some lube into the 4 junctions between rails and saddle

    You sure its your saddle?

+1 on greasing the rails and bolts. Finally sorted out my BelAir Ti and Thomson clicking/creaking. Was driving me nuts!

have you tried greasing the nose, it'll go in easier.

Will try grease – cheers all!

Not sure if it's the saddle or seapost but taking the saddle apart and cleaning it made a big difference.
