Judging from the shape of boxes under the tree, I think I might have two of the same item – so I’ll probably exchange one – but will probably need to put a few quid with it to get something else I want. Anyone done this? Don’t want to repay someone’s kindness by adding an extra charge to their credit card – can I exchange for credit or vouchers, or pay the balance with my own card somehow?
