Just about to start up my own business and have been offered 80 days work by a third party. There draft contract seems a little one sided (in their favour), is there a good source of information online or should I be seeking professional legal advise? Want to incur as few costs as possible.

Hard to say without understanding what you think is one sided… Generally you shouldn’t need a lawyer unless your work indicates it sensible. I review my contracts and always check the terms such as daily hours and overtime, location and travel. Typically the small print is just that but always read it. If you spy something awry then go back and ask them to change it.. The worst they can say is no.

In general most contracts suite those who are issuing them, what are the terms that you are not happy with? you can always counter their offer.
