    Anyone have a similar experience? My Contour HD has been working flawlessly for the past year or so, but the last two rides have seen it recording in 30 second bursts. A bit annoying when the descent is 5-7 minutes long and the helmet cam has ‘chopped it up’ into numerous segments. Any ideas as to why it is doing it?

    The other thing is that tonight it recorded a 4:30 descent and then went back to 30 second recordings and then threw in a coupe of 1-2 minute ones. Bizarre………..

    Have you tried a different memory card? Most of the problems I’ve had with either my old Gopro or my Contour have been something to do with the memory card.

    First off I’d try formatting the card.
    After that, I’d try asking on the Contour support page, they’re usually pretty good if you’re having any problems.

    Happened to me and as mentioned as a potential issue above….It was the memory card, changed it for a new ‘Class 10’ card and it has been flawless ever since.
