not a direct answer but…. i remember reading about Arctic convoys in WW2. Sailors got really constipated by the extreme cold and the best answer they seemed to find was a warm bath to relax their innards….
When my 4yo was a bit bunged up the other week we sat her on the loo and read to her. Gave her the time and opportunity to sit and relax and it got the ball rolling.
(For future bouts of diarrheadhiareaodaiorhhea an arse like a broken ice cream machine, substitute “it’ll soon pass” for “it’s tough shit” – in this way, dad wisecracks can be adapted for any type of bottom problem)
