  • Connecting a Garmin Oregon to wifi camera (geotagging)

I’ve bought myself a cheap compact camera (Canon PowerShot SX620) to take out riding. The camera has wifi and will connect to a smartphone to geotag photos. I don’t own a smartphone but do have a wifi capable Garmin Oregon 700 strapped to my bars. I suspect that the answer is ‘no’, but is there any way I can connect the camera to the Garmin to geotag?

There are tools that will let you do this based on timestamps and a GPS track. You just have to synchronise the clocks on  both devices.

I might take a look at those, thanks.

I assume though that there’s no way to link them together to geotag on the fly as you can do with smartphones?
