my desktop pc has been ravaged by a virus that I cannot find or remove. The only course of action left to me is to wipe the hard drive. I don’t have any windows disks to restart it again so I was wondering if there was any way to restore my desktop pc using my laptop?

Install Avast and get rid of the virus.

You might need to remove it in safge mode?

Don’t go for the wipe option until all else is tried.

avg, avast, malwarebytes, adaware, spybot. all scanned once normally and once in safe mode with no success. malwarebytes finds it then crashes saying I tried to remove a program I shouldn’t! It also stops any of these programs from updating.

    Hi,

Best thing to do is head on over to castlecops.com

Download and run hijackthis and then post a log file in the hijackthis forum on castlecops

Someone will be able to help you out there

    Thanks

We’re trying to save you the hassle but go ahead and wipe it as you seem so keen.
