Proper chromoplastic style ones that wrap around the wheel, not plastic faux-MX crap. A 65mm chromoplastic to fit arround 2.2″ tyres if such a thing existed.

Anyone got any of know of them?

Those sks ones are interesting, they didn’t do the 65mm wide version when I was looking.

I bought these, and I think I would still go with them again, they have the beavertail and are built for 29ers rather than 28 (which may not make much actual difference).

As per Steve – I run the 45mm version on a cross bike with 29er wheels (1.5″ tyres) and they’re perfect, proper low mudflap at the front. Your problem with an MTB frame might be lack of chainstay/seatstay bridges to mount them properly. You can get away with not having eyelets on the dropouts using ‘p’ clamps, but lack of bridge sections would make it tricky.
