Just over a month ago, an “unusually strong” section of gravity left me on the floor with a broken wrist 😉 And i’m getting close to having the cast taken off. So how to i start getting back to fitness? Do i need a specific plan, or should i just start gently and see how it proceeds?

My specific targets are to try to get to a Skills day (Jedi’d) in mid June, then being fit to get to the alps at the start of July.

So, who’s done/doing the same, and how did you do it??

Are you having physio on your wrist? Do some exercises to get that back to strength (fnar fnar).

Fitness wise, just ride. I’m assuming it’s what you did before your accident. Ride, and ride more.

(Pretty sure I did along similar lines when I fractured my wrist and was in a cast for 6 months a couple years back)

Oh and try and get your full wrist movement back. I’m guessing not helped by the length of time in a cast, but I only have maybe 65% of movement in my wrist now.
