Ok so if you had a frame to sell and it needed a respray, what colour would you do it ?

Most people have no imagination, so a black frame will sell a lot easier than any other colour.

tbh – you may find the difference in the price you get a respray makes isn’t enough to cover the cost.

Ah but this is a classic 2002 Stiffee and it hardly has any paint left on it 🙂

If you are able to get it powdercoated cheaply, then I’d advertise it first, factor in the cost of the respray and let the buyer decide on the colour. Not a 15″er is it? 😉

Hi MD, no it’s a 17.5″ Was going to get it done at Argos.

just wouldn’t sell though, when I sold my resprayed Stiffee it was a bastard to sell as it was yellow, let alone Neon green.

Dropoff you will more than likely find that paying for a respray will end up costing you more money in the long run, as people would prefer £50 off rather than a shiney new frame.

definitely not worth getting it resprayed by Argos, as you will never recoup the £120. £50 for a cheap powder coat may’be but even then you would be lucky

Have a chat at your local car repair shop, a typical colour might be cheap (last Spring I paid £10 all incl. for a frame respray – gloss black).

1. What does the TT measure at centre to centre?
2. What length travel forks is it designed to take?
3. Any idea where one would get some Cove stickers from?
4. is it heavy and would it make a decent trail bike?

I’d never buy a resprayed frame. The respray can hide all sorts of evils. If it’s looking tired, leave it to the buyer to freshen it up.

I used it with 130mm bombers which is about the limit
Decals are also available here
Weight is 2.okg and it makes a fab trail bike.

I have to agree with Kelvin, a bike/frame resprayed just for the sale looks very suspect.
