from the look of it, you'd enjoy the riding from Tyningham beach to Whitesands and Torness. I rode and walked that that quite a bit as a kid.

Great video, makes me want a Pugsley and a nice house by the sea to go with it.

GW, been along that end of our coast too!, did a film last winter…
    Dunglass to Barnes Ness
    good mix with Torness etc..
i wondered about submitting an article to the mag, heading up to Sandwood Bay for a weekend next month so maybe do something,it is after all described as the most scenic and remote beach in Britain…aswell as the longest drive being up in the Scottish NW! 😮

i think its 69% of the UK coastline is here in Scotland, but England and Wales has some stunning coast,as an island nation who does alot of coastal activitys there is very little interest in cycling on beaches, despite the surly pugsley being available in the UK from any ISIN dealer bicycle shop, the basic kit costs about £1000 plus regular bars, stem, seat, gears etc…
compared to a very good full suss bike a pugsley at around £2000 complete with a decent build is not too bad, and you get year round riding when trails get too wet to ride without damage, also there great for peaty terrain.but they dont like clay!, on sand they leave less of a footprint than a human!,so who can argue about that?!,
the magazine had one in a bikeporn feature back in 1996 when they were released and were going to do this and that on it but it just dissapeared.
im doing all the Southern Upland Way bike packing this winter which will show how versatile a bike it is on soft ground in winter..i know its gonna be cold at nights!, be nice to see more sold but for now i guess its a bit niche!,there are 2 in Scotland!
knowen as fatbikes they are getting massive in the US,
for those interested have a browse through the MTBR Fatbike Forum…

Thats great. Do allot of coastal riding, but higher up the cliffs which the west coast demands. But thats got me thinking about the potential for link other sections. mmm… Thanks for posting that.

I love beach riding. I'm lucky enough to have Morecambe Bay to do it in, but I wish I had your skills in capturing the experience, coastkid!

    Great vid!
