I have poor arch support, and when I push hard on the pedals my knees often hit the top tube. I’m trying to correct this as an attempt to sort cronic hip pain / lower back
I’ve had some success with using insoles and spec in shoe forefront wedges.
I’ve bought some vectors and have been experimenting on the turbo so see if I can reduce this offset through combinations of inshoe wedges / pedal wedges and insoles.
By using much better insoles with much higher arches I’m at a +11 / +9 offset (it was over +40)
So imagine my feet are natural tilted to the outside of the pedal, amd I want to create a flater interface with the pedal at the foot, (underpower this means the knee motion is vertical)
What is better? To wedge the inside of the foot to try to build up the ‘gap’ or to wedge the outside of the foot to try to mechanically tilt the foot more in the plain it needs to be?
(yes I know go see a professional fitter, at this time I do not a day free to drive somewhere, and spend a few hours getting fitted – but I do have regular 6am turbo sessions to experiement with)
