- Christmas decorations – when do you put yours up?
most festivals, celebrations etc. last only a day or a week. somehow winterval has now stretched to almost exactly 1/3rd of a year.
first weekend in September is when the shops put winterval stuff on display, and try their hardest to make me eat Stollen. first weekend in January is when they take it all down, and instantly replace it with costumes for carnival.Posted 4 years agoSaxonRiderSubscriber
The 6th. It’s St Nicholas’ Day, and seems as good a day as any.
That said, there is a bizarre, bizarre house on Bridge Street in Cardiff that put theirs up in October, and will leave it up, fully lit, until February. I know this, because I drive past it once a week, and they always leave the curtains open on their great big windows. 😐Posted 4 years ago
