I always buy lighter coloured helmets.  Firstly, they don’t soak up heat as badly if you’re lucky enough for it to be a sunny day, and secondly I don’t understand why someone riding a mountain bike who may need to be spotted by the Mountain Rescue at some point wants to camouflage themselves.  Bright colours are good.

OP, how are the pads holding up so far ?

Only 2 rides in so no news yet from my purple pads!

Just a quick update – the helmet has been through a number of long and very warm rides and the padding is still holding strong!

Was it you out riding that caused the bright burning light to appear in the sky last weekend?
