I'm going to Cheltenham on Thursday as the guest of a client. Club enclosure I think. What am I wearing please?

I can do a morning suit, but don't think that's right, and can also anchor outfits on a navy blazer with white stripes or a brown tweed jacket if need be.

    Knowledgeable advice greatly appreciated.

No dress code at Cheltenham. I suggest you wear latex. Studded, of course.

(Hacking tweed and a decent pair of trews for the more sensible option. )

I was hoping you'd be on Captain. 🙂

Tweed jacket, shirt and tie, possible tank top, cords and brown boots basically alright then by the sound of it?

Apart from the tank top, you're spot on. Tank top = Trainspotter!

A hat can be good if you have one, Trilby or Fedora by choice. Oh, and decent binos for admiring the fine fillies on display.

Which day are you going to?

All my hats are Tilley, I'm never sure they're quite right. Thursday. Best office jolly in a long while. 😀

Thanks DrGonzo, I'll see you there. 🙄

This more your thing, Dr Gonzo?

It's called having decent dress standards, dear boy. Not everyone wants to dress like a prole, you know.

Tilley = Not a great pick for the Festival, IMO. A bit too "rambler" 😉

I'd rather wear that lot than look like an entrant in upper class twit of the year.
