Check Swiss & BA from HR. Often cheaper than the “budget” airlines when you include Skis / board and heavier luggage allowance..

Just try skyscanner – not many cheap flights to geneva right in the middle of ski season – and those that are will get you in and out at awkward times.

Not much around that time of year. Where do you need to end up? Might be another airport that’ll do. Turin is a couple of hours from chamonix for example.

Flights from U.K. On 25th don’t seem too bad. Depends where from and what you consider cheap. Plenty of charter airlines doing those dates.

For a Saturday to Saturday week it’ll almost certainly be cheaper to buy a package. DIY gives you flexibility rather than savings unless you happen to find very cheap flights or a cheap hotel. Lots of cheap package deals at the moment due to a lack of snow in some resorts so be careful.
