Thoughts on comparisons between the two please?

Fed up with the number of issues / returns that I’ve had with my 2015 RS Pikes I’m tempted to just sell then on and go back to the last of the previous generation of lyriks (2014) with the RC2DH damper.

When working properly the charger is great, but curious how the 2 compare as the RC2DH was highly regarded. I’ve had Lyriks with Mission Control (inc threshold removal mod) previously but never the RC2DH

I switched a 2014 Lyrik from RC2DH to the Charger damper and was very happy with the difference it made.

Where the RC2DH was great in really rough stuff it was nowhere near as good as the Charger is on the smaller, quicker bumps and in the midstroke.

I think if all you did was ride rocky big hits then the RC2DH would be perfect. For more all round riding go with the Charger.

As a caveat to the above these were 170mm Lyriks, also fitted with a Pike top cap and tokens.
