Eh. They’re going to dig out the crap they put in?

No chance. More likely they think they’ve waited long enough and are trying to push ahead with their original plan despite the weight of public opinion and evidence presented.

Local Authorities do find the public very inconvenient and tiresome. They seem to think they’re entitled to some sort of input into what they want to do!
