Is it actually possible to unscrew those old countersunk 4mm allen screws on the Hope spyder without snapping the skinny allen key?

Or do you just say buggrit and drill ’em?

The rotor bolts should come out relatively easily. Drilling is a last resort as you may struggle to remove the threaded portion from the hub. Just use the best (and longest) hex key you have an keep plenty of pressure down through the interface, and maybe try a couple of drips of WD40 down the thread from the other end.

And once you’ve got them out, put copper-grease on the threads and under the heads of the bolts to prevent it recurring.(drilling usually works once you’ve rounded it, mole-grips to remove the remaining stub that’s rarely actually siezed)

None of ’em moved an inch!

And I can’t shift an M5 bolt holding on the shock 🙁

Looks like it’s a trip to the LBS in the morning.
