I am building up my Bfe and need some advice on choosing the chain position.

I have a 1 x10 set up, with a 11 – 42 rear and a RADR cage for the mech. However, my cranks are Race Face Chesters, which probably are a bit overkill for what I need but hey ho. They have spacers to adjust the position of the crank, which are white plastic washers essentially. The BB shell is 73mm, so I have only put one spacer on the drive side, as per instructions.

I have followed the the included instructions and installed as per the instructions with all the spacers on the one side, but it looks to me like the crank arms are not universally spread apart from the frame. Is there a rule of thumb for setting these things up right, or more of a case of suck it and see if it works?
