OK so i can cook for a number of people and usually get it about right. BUT am doing a chorizo and potato stew for 24 all of whom will be boozing hogmanay then heading to the hills NY day. How much is enough?

So far 1kg onions, 7.5 kg potatoes, 1.5kg chorizo and 1.5kg other root veggies. Does that sound about right for masses?

Hmm, that’s 11.5 kgs, plus a bit more if you add in water and bits, so 13-15kgs I’d estimate. Allowing 500g per person, there’ll be a bit left over for the greedy gannets!

Yeah you should be ok. Have bread and olives and cheesy nibbles etc as well, then you’re well covered.
