    I was wondering how long it would take. But surely it is the wheel that they really need to get out of carbon to shed weight where it matters.

    Actually it’s not that stupid if you consider that most fatbikes are quite heavy for that reason. A carbon fat will surely bring you further on a snow track and will probably make it more enjoyable (bike easier to lift, jump, etc.).

    carbon rims sound like a good idea. The alu frames are pretty light already.
