In the last 10 years there have been:

84 VW Scirocco 1.6 – smelt a LOT of petrol
86 VW Golf 1.3 – lowest of the low spec
85 Nissan Bluebird 1.6 – like a 3 piece suite in a car, so comfy
81 Vauxhall Cavalier 1.6 – mostly gaffer tape, moss and air
94 Ford Mondeo estate 1.8 – bought as scrap for mass bike transportation, lasted too long
89 VW Golf Driver – absolutely mint, loading bikes in it was ruining it
    01 Toyota Hiace – brilliant!
04 Ford Mondeo TDCi estate – smallest car that will take a harp and cheap long distance travel

    Notable work rides:
The Merc E-class’s, first an AMG55, then a 320CDi that was equally quick once upto speed if not off the lights, ridiculous decision to let me in these at 18, both will hit the limiter.
99 XLWB Transit flatbed, not fast, but rarely ever needed the brakes through any corners, steady as, really irritated some sports car drivers to see me catch them in the bends.
Whole selection of Land Rovers used as intended, currently a 130.

    1987 Fiat Punto 60
    1989 Fiat Panda 4×4
    1991 Ford Fiesta

    1986 Kawasaki GPZ600R
    1986 Mazda 323
1993 Toyota MR2 Turbo GTS – The Widowmaker, without a doubt the best car I’ve ever owned
    2002 Kawasaki Drifter 1500 – current
    1995 Toyota MR2 Turbo GT
    2006 Vespa Piaggio LX125 – current
    1993 Eunos Roadster 1.6 – current
    1997 Mitsubishi Legnum VR4 – current

MX5/Roadster is as much fun as I’ve ever had in a car
Vespa is the ultimate man-about-town vehicle (no parking fees)
VR4 has the potential to be truly staggering, but falls short on reliability/upkeep at the moment
Drifter is just a stunningly beautiful mobile armchair that happens to sound like the earth is being split in two by God’s pneumatic drill 😈

Still yearning for a Honda NSX and a Mazda RX7. Maybe next year…
