Peugot 106 Rallye 1.3 (ace fun!)
Peugeot 309 GTi (best balanced FWD car ever I reckon)
Peugeot 306 GTi-6 (quick, seriously quick, massive lift off oversteer!)
Citroën Xantia 2 litre turbo (bit of a departure but needed something cheap for transporting bikes to the alps)
Citroën Saxo forte 1100cc (needed cheap to run after the Xantia!)
BMW E34 520i Touring (big, comfy, plenty of big space)
BMW E90 320D Saloon (only company car I’ve had, nice but saloon was PITA)
VW Golf Mk3 1.9TDi (again needed cheap transport, seriously economical and reliable though)
BMW E34 540i Touring (with 6 speed manual box! Loved that car, was gutted I had to sell it, lost my job, fortunately still had the Golf TDi)
VW Passat 1.9TDi saloon (Golf got too small, reliable car, but slooow and not that practical)
VW Passat 1.9TDi Estate (much more practical, quicker too cos of higher hp engine. Until it seized that is!)
Audi A4 Avant 2.5TDi Quattro (reasonably quick, very comfy, not as spacious as the Passat, but I like so far. Should be good in winter… Now if only diesel was cheaper!)
And that’s it so far… As you can see, in my youth it was all French, then I went all German in my mid-late 20’s…
