a 2 year warranty on that class vehicle is approx. 600 quid and they wont force you to a stealership to get repairs done (normally by muppets)

I have just been posted to Scotland with my job so the only long runs we will be doing are to visit parents in worcester. This will only be a few times a year I guess.

    I estimate our mileage will be around 10 -12k a year .

Is petrol the right way to go still ?

i would still go to petrol.

also buy a car before you come up here. cars in scotland are more expensive and less choice than down south.

I often feel like coming down south to buy cars as i see them so much cheaper but then i get impatient.

Cheers for the advice trail rat, it seems like most of Scotland car dealers are run by Arnold shark who I have been told to avoid at all costs

Erm at risk of compounding what trail_rat posted…

Don’t ever go near Arnold Clark. I had an Arnold Clark Scottish Sales Manager shouting at me aggressively over a missing promised second key……

(I got the second key the next week).
