    Other than the 12mm thru rear axle were there any other difference to the standard model?

    all covered above. 12mm axle, iscg mounts on the bb and extra gusset at the head tube for longer forks.

    Funny how all the above plus slack head tube angles are now on most modern bikes that were on the Prophet mx way back in 2004 or 2005 including a 1.5 head tube. A bike well ahead of its time.

    if you want a cheap STD Prophet, buy a cheap Prophet SL then buy a 200x50mm shock for it (then flog the original shock).
