- Can pike airs be converted to coils?
I’ve got some 454 dual air pikes, but the uppers are **** and as a result the bushing are now ****.
Soooo, can they be easily converted to coiled?
If so does anyone what them for such a use?Posted 11 years ago
No TM, got kids and cc is shite compared to what’s on our doorsteps…..!
You still need that roofing work done? work has gone slacker then my lycra…..speak soon.Posted 11 years ago
let all teh air out and put a spring in 🙄Posted 11 years ago
Yup roofing needs doing. Pop down to do some riding soon and take a looky 🙂Posted 11 years ago
Goog, the point is my stantions are shafted and i can’t be assed in stripping them down after every wet ride, just to clean out the seals and lubing sponge thingamy.
I want to be riding the damn bike and not cleaning every ride..Posted 11 years ago
You can convert them, but you’ll have the same problem. I converted mine the other way.
Why do you think coil would solve the problem that they’re knackered?
You could strip the DA parts out, sell those?Posted 11 years ago
Good, i know, well done.
I know making them coil won’t solve the problem..
That was the idea, but not to strip them down but just sell the forks as a whole unit.
Now go back and read the original post and tell me i wasn’t clear….
Thanks for letting me know it can be done, that’s all i neded to know!Posted 11 years ago
I spoke to TF regarding this as I wanted to do it and apparently you can not convert Airs into Coils but you can the other way around.Posted 11 years ago
The coils have a groove or something slightly different to do with the coil u-turn minside which the airs don’t have so you convert coils to airs but not the other way round! Best bet would be to find someone who wants to swap coils for air.
