or do i have to pick up a ‘proper’ set with the spax heads?

going to the hardware place tomorrow to get some bolts for the unicycle and wondered if i can simply use normal bolts or hex-bolts. i fully understand the idea behind the metal plates that you kink but thought that with some locktite they should be ok. haven’t had any probs with bolts coming loose elsewhere….

problem wil be without the shallow head on the bolts you’ll probably foulf the leg of the fork, rear usually isn’t an issue

If you do get high tensile or stainless. Cheap bolts might shear.

You can get bolts with a variety of headforms – domehead allan bolts might be the lowest profile but you only get a small hex socket in them

Stainless won’t be any stronger then a boggo low carbon steel bolt.
