2005 Trek 1500 road bike
I guess it’s a semi integrated one but an initial search suggests that it may well be a specific Trek one rather than a generic one

Yup I know it’s probably made by Crane Creek as it has their patent no. on it – but which one?

I’ve already looked at the Trek archive thanks, it tells me nothing that’s relevant unfortunately

Its not a slim stack as mentioned in the Trek bikes archive though -as said it does look like a semi-integrated however are there any codes on it to look it up?

However the picture looks right so it is an old version of the Canecreek Slimstack?

no, all it’s got is “Aheadset pat. 509770” on it, which is just Cane Creeks generic aheadset one

seems the same quoted headset – I wonder if its worth getting in touch with Cane Creek – They have replied to my queries before?

I’ve finally solved the problem(hopefully ::-)) after JE James cycles phoned me back today and told me that Trek have their own specific sizing for the external diameter of the bearings in their integrated headsets,hence you can only buy spares from Trek ::-)

I’ve ordered 2 while I can in case they stop making the one I need at any time 8)

I did but my bike isn’t listed
I can manually put the figures in if push comes to shove when I’ve stripped it

Looks like it could be a ZSC1 – I have (most) of an old, dead one that I could send you to see if it’s right, then at least you know what to order?
