    Planning a camping weekend near Whitby, just Googled it and there are loads, can anyone recommend a good site

    this is listed i think on page 3 of the reviews that Muke posted and we've stayed a few times

    Hooks House Farm Campsite
    Whitby Road
    Robin Hoods Bay
    North Yorkshire
    YO22 4PE

    slopes a bit but views are excellent and people pleasant – not Whitby itself it's about an 8 mile ride along old railway line – officially sanctioned cycle path thing and its about a 10minute walk down to Robin Hoods Bay pubs
