Struggling to find a campsite , that’s not a massive holiday park, within 10-15 miles of Dunbar/Eyemouth.
Must take campervans (with awnings) & have on-site toilets, electrical hook-up would be good too. Hoping to take my son for a surf school last week in August (Bank Holiday week).
Any suggestions or indeed recommendations would be gratefully received.
    Cheers

We stayed at one just a wee bit before the village. I can’t remember much more than that! We had a car plus a boat on the trailer, and arrived late/vanished before 7am the next morning so sadly didn’t get a chance to pay 🙂

Agree that Dunbar one is great, we took our camper there loads as we live not too far away and kids loved it

We have stayed at the one glasgowdan is talking about, pretty sure it’s called Belhaven.
Good enough site handy for the surfing at Belhaven Bay.
Toilets are a bit basic but were kept clean when we were there last.

C&CC site is nice, shop is rather basic but if you are in a motorhome you’ll be fine. Nip into dubnar for supplies, toilets are decent and you get your EHU. It can get a bit blowy though!

Belhaven is awesome, but falls foul of your “not a holiday park” requirement.

Yes the one we stayed at had a field to the right for tents as you go in. Did the job, no holiday resort!

Thanks for the info, a couple to consider from the above, looks like joining the caravan club is a good idea.
