The “thing” …. I have a set of Pro2/Flow Hope Hoops in 26″ flavour.

I need a set of 29er wheels now.

£264 gets me a pair of Pro2 Evo/Arch Hope Hoops.

Now if I rebuild the hubs I have it’s roughly going to be:

    £130 rims
    £50 build
    £45 spokes

So circa £225 built around 3 year old hubs.

I guess I could recoup £40 for the Flow rims and spokes?

Worth the saving or just bite the bullet and buy new?

I’ve learnt how to build wheels. It’s not exactly difficult, & it would save some cash.
But given that price I’d buy new.

Can I ask where that deal is from ?
And, do they have the hubs in red… 🙂

ebay listing that matches your old wheels.

Might be worth watching to see what they go for. IF you don’t need your old wheels, the amount you get get on ebay will mean you are almost certainly best off selling your old wheels and buying new.

What mrmo said. Reckon you’d get £150 without much effort for your wheelset which would make for a much bigger saving than using your hubs for a rebuild.

sell those and buy new will be the cheapest IMHO
