    Anyone know of anything that does something similar to the Steadyracks for a lot less money? Could possibly do it with a hook hung vertically from the rafters but it would need to swivel I think.

    Nothing to add in answer to your question, other than steadyracks are brilliant, and well worth the money, IMO
