- Budget Lights
Hi, has anyone had any experience with either of these and if so could you share thoughts? alternatively any suggestions of front light around £60 or under?

Couple of us have bought the C&B Seen 1200Lm jobbie.
First ride out on it next week, but seems very well made and bright for around £40.Posted 7 years ago
Good info on cheap lights here, review of the C&B Seen lights towards the bottom of the page, as well as other very similar (but much cheaper) alternatives:
I think with either P7s or XMLs (especially the latter) the important thing is to have the ‘orange peel’ reflector. I just bought a smooth reflector XML and fully expect it to be too spotty. Might be okay on the helmet though…Posted 7 years ago
I recently bought the first one you posted, used it on a night ride at Afan and the bracket broke going downhill so I had to gaffa tape it to the bars. plenty of light but if felt too spotty for a bar beam, would be better as a lid light although the battery pack would be heavy if attached to the lid. May get a wide angle lens for it or strap to head with battery in camelbak.Posted 7 years ago
100 or so threads a week on this, do a search for the big threads.

I’ve ha done of these DX XML Lamp for 15 months and it is going strong with no propblems other than having to superglue the bracket after I broke it. I have it on my helment and it does have a serious hotspot. Easily fixed with a different lens.Posted 7 years ago
I have the second one you’ve listed. Only used it once but it was to misty to give a good review but it seams to through out loads of light.Posted 7 years ago
