Hi All some advice needed again, my wife’s art studio is has no WiFi but has phone socket connected to the home network. Do I just need another router and connect to socket? I have taken current router from main home tested and works fine but not sure what to do for a permanent option.

    All advice appreciated.

Is the power supply connected to the house?

Hi Drac I am not to sure but it has its own fuse box, but I would need an electrician to tell. The telephone line is connected so would presume electric is but this is just a guess.

Powerlink adapters May work then but someone with a better knowledge will know.

It won’t work over the phone line.

Yeah, you can forget the phone line as part of a solution here. Plugging a second DSL router in would be like expecting to be able to make two different concurrent phone calls from two handsets.

    Options are:

    1) Run a CAT5 cable between the buildings, if physically practical.

    2) Wi-Fi boosters / range extenders, depending how far apart they are.

    3) PowerLine adapters, IF they’re on the same bit of electrickery cabling as Drac was alluding to.
