Any suggestions, please, for a route for us old folks, while the youngster plays at Lee Quarry? I thought about a section of the Mary Towneley Loop to Healey Dell, but I’d prefer to avoid the main road coming back

there is supposed to a cycleway from Whitworth to the top of Brittania using the old railway line and then possibly a connecing trail to the concessionary bridleway that runs across the gate at the quarry entrance

take a look at this route for some suggestions. There’s also a BW from Broadley to Brown Wardle Hill and eventually Hades quarry above Shawforth, and there are loads more tracks around there!
