When I heard the words “The BBC is interrupting it’s scheduled programming to make the following announcement” I had my fingers crossed for an alien invasion.

Very sad loss for the Queen – losing a partner will never be easy.

Interesting conundrum for the Royal family though – hold a full bore royal funeral to which I’d argue he is perfectly entitled too. However how would that fit within the current covid world we live in with social distancing / no big gatherings etc?

Yes surreal, I’m not a Royalist in any way, I’m not even a patriot, the very idea has always been odd to me. This shouldn’t mean any more or less to me than any other passing of a elderly person at the end of their life, but somehow it does. I’m important to me, but I can’t offer a rational reason why.
