Jesus Christ!! That is an impressive treat – I am jealous!

I was thinking of perhaps some chopped up apricots & some raisins sprinkled on porridge with a blob of honey 😆

I do love a fry-up that you haven’t had to prepare yourself….and really nice scrambled eggs, when they’re still a little bit sloppy.

Mine today was bacon, eggs, mushrooms and tomatos. I’m trying to cut back on the bready carbs, so had 1 small slice of toast to clean up. Normally i’m a many many carbs kind of guy and i think it’s hindering my ability to drop weight.

So not only was it less carbs… but bacon and eggs is GOOOOOOD !

Most exciting it gets here is putting a bit of leftover dried fruit from Christmas cake baking in the porridge.

Though spare smoked salmon also got turned into eggs royale but that was for lunch.

Scrambled egg & salmon: but the salmon has to be mixed in with the egg just prior to serving, it increases the flavour and I cant be doing with warm egg & cold salmon.

My only experience of defrosted steak is my parent’s storing it for way too long and it being covered in freezer-burn and tasting grim when defrosted

I once had a summer job whilst at college as a sweeper-upper in a carbon block factory (v. glamorous). It was an early start in the morning then after about an hour the entire workforce de-camped to the canteen for massive fry-ups. It always seemed especially welcome after doing a bit of work anticipating breakfast.

Can’t beat steak, lobster and eggs though. I may have to try ton’s diet regime.

I just had home made bread; set the dough off last night, quick bit of kneading, bung it in the oven, wait 30 minutes and then lots of butter!

But black pudding and poached eggs above is also a very good combination.

Today it was a tuna and extra-mature cheddar toastie.

Yesterday was beans on toast with leftover pulled pork mixed in with the beans.

Treat is Eggs Benedict without the ham, which is not half as exciting as the OPs.

I love a bit of black pudding with a fresh, poached egg.

Being slightly older than a millennial, I still enjoy a bit of avocado & poached egg on toast, but I mix my avocado with a dollop of mayo and a teaspoon of Dijon mustard.

All of the above to be served on sourdough with a half tonne of butter.

Sounds lush ton, I couldn’t stomach it at breakfast, but I guess needs must.

Wheaten bread, butter and scrambled eggs here.

I’ve had two poached eggs, mushrooms and baked beans for breakfast every day this week so far, actually not Monday!

Loving it, trying desperately hard to not eat hash browns, bacon and sausages, it’s damn hard

Normal breakfast – Porridge with some blueberries and honey.
Weekend breakfast – Bacon and eggs with some sourdough.
Treat breakfast – Pancakes, crispy bacon, maple syrup.

Sadly, it’s been a fairly normal porridge type week this week.

A breakfast treat I really used to enjoy was cold leftover take away chicken curry – I always used to make a point of leaving some for the next morning. I don’t do takeaways much these days

Quiet coffee (no kids and certainly no wife around) followed by a collosal, undisturbed crap. A one-wiper.

Then a sausage and egg McMuffin.

Eggs Royale is my “treat yourself” breakfast.

This morning was two Quorn sausages, two fried eggs, a load of fried mushrooms and half a large tin of baked beans. The beans were Heinz reduced salt and sugar which really does reduce the taste. I’m swapping back to proper ones.

Not the most glamorous suggestion by any means, but extremely tasty – French toast with big mental thick slices of brioche loaf, add a healthy(?) Amount of sugar to the egg mix & fry in a similarly (un)healthy amount of butter until it starts to caramelize – goes well with added bacon / maple syrup / fruit compote (OK, jam) / nutella or all of the above – if no fancy bakery nearby, aldi/lidl usually have a brioche loaf for 1.50

    You’re welcome 😉
