Said it would be a good game.

Guess it’s too late for SK to Park the bus.

    Algeria has an impressive engine.

Wonder if they can maintain this intensity in the second half. Being 3-0 up, they will probably drop down a few gears.

Not sure how they’d get away with this kamikaze attack against a better team, but it’s bloody brilliant to watch. Especially after that last match!

An impressive engine and they look like they really want it!!!

Different sport but intrigued by Sir Ian McGeechan on the “other England”

Mentally, emotionally and psychologically they were off the pace and you simply cannot afford to be like that against New Zealand.

    How very dare he!

Good to watch Algeria tonight. Loved the header for the second. Like a rocket.

I think they are being a bit more subtle, myself. Some lovely touches.

I was watching this one as a warm up for USA v Ronaldo, but have the feeling this might be the game of the day.

I’m not convinced the defending in this game is of the highest quality, but then again, who cares? I reckon it’ll go 4-3 and then finish 5-3.

I’m loving this WC. Astonishingly good, and obvious disappointment aside its great to see the unfancied nations handing it out to the big boys even if they don’t get the end results.

Just one complaint. I grew up in an era where the groundsman’s idea of weatherproofing a goal area was covering it in a mix of gravel and sharp sand. This lot play on carpets, so why do they need their socks over their knees like some sort of Japanese schoolgirl?

I just realised – this game is on ITV & there’s no Andy Townsend.

    Is he OK?

Outstanding game! Next ones going to be a massive anti-climax isn’t it?

I’m only saying that as I’ve got a really early start, and a long drive in the morning, and I really shouldn’t stay up til one watching another game. I reckon I know what’s going to happen though. 😀

Starcham has just used a ‘Total Football’ phrase about Algeria 😯

Poor play by the Stoke defender, Cameron. Gifted that one. Howard had no chance.

An on holiday in Porto at the moment there supposed to be an all night festival going off tonight but it doesn’t seem to have started as everyone is at home or in bars watching the football

It seems that they’ve even delayed the traditional midnight fireworks
