    Been attempting to fit new elixir 9’s but cannot get the damned hose barb flush with the hose end. Avid site says use T10 to thread it in, this would be marvellous if Avid had equipped said barb with a T10 fitting but they seem to have neglected this. Anyone got any tips to push this bloody thing into place.

    The hole in the barb on my last Avid brakes, was the said T10 just screwed it in..

    Jagwire do a bit of kit to push barbs in got one off ebay 18 quid a cinch to use

    Cheers, just spent about an hour trying to force the thing in, gave up and ordered the tool.

    Sounds like you’ve got a factory-fit barb, the aftermarket ones usually have the Tx10 fitting.
